Rummy Strategy – Conquian Rummy
Conquian Rummy strategy – the following are a few basic pointers to help you with your understanding and game play in Conquian Rummy.
1. Forcing: This is one of the most distinct strategies in a Conquian rummy card game. The opposing player can force a player to meld his card in the center table from the face-up cards during a turn. This can destroy a player’s strategy because when this happens, it is very hard to win.
2. Defensive Strategy: If you are holding more than 5 or 6 cards which cannot be part of any meld, it is allowed for you to fold your cardsand let the opposing player continue to play alone by drawing and discarding. This tactic is equivalent to always rejecting the face-up card that is passed on to you, but instead you simply choose to stop playing. It is possible for you to hold the winning card of your opponent and if you carried on playing you could only lose.
3. Offensive Strategy: If you are a player with a really good memory and can count cards by keeping track of all the cards played, you can actually predict the cards your opponent needs to complete his hand. You can then manipulate the game and lessen your opponent’s chances of winning.
4. The Ten Card Hole: This kind of situation should be avoided because it would be impossible to win a game. For example, hypothetically speaking, you may collect all the Clubs, however, there are only ten cards in any suit in a game of Conquian Rummy. Thus, it is impossible to win.
